Index Integration

As part of our technology integration, the CSMI Index data feed is migrating to a new best-in-class platform in the Equinix NY5 data center. This platform migration will occur in two phases.

  • Phase 1: New IPs for both the certification and production environments will be required to access the CSMI data feed in the Equinix NY5 data center, and the new feeds will be disseminated in parallel with the existing feeds in production for a period.
  • Phase 2: The feeds will be split from two to five data channels.

New Platform Briefing

Below are highlights of the CSMI Index data feed migration. For more detailed information, please see the CSMI Specification.

  • This migration is a platform change requiring IP configuration updates and preparation for splitting multicast data channels from a two-channel configuration to a five-channel configuration.
  • The format of the CSMI data feed will remain the same.
  • New IPs for both the certification and production environments will need to access the CSMI data feed in the Equinix NY5 data center.
  • There are two connectivity options for connecting to the CSMI NY5 data feed:
  • Use existing CFE connectivity.
  • Order cross-connects in NY4 or NY5 connecting directly to the new CFE platform on Bats Technology in NY5.
  • Connectivity via existing Cboe Options market cross-connects will no longer be provided for the new CSMI platform.
